| Ah, yes! I finally got my own laptop w/ wireless internet- so hopefully can post comments more often instead of every other week/so. It's my Christmas present from my hubby, Shawn. He and his boys can't keep a secret to save their lives, so when he bought this he ran home and said, "Look, I got your laptop for Christmas; here you go!" And what is it? December 1st? Haha! Oh, well. Is v. nice. Love the laptop! | | |
| Oh, the Holiday's are upon us!! I love the cold weather- well, to us Cajun's 50 degrees is freezing- hate buying presents. I am a major procrastinator when it comes to Christmas shopping. Every year I plan on beginning my holiday shopping in July/August so as to avoid the rush, and every year I wind up running 'round like a chicken w/ it's head cut off Dec 20th-24th trying to find random things that may be useful gifts to someone/anyone. My sister, Jesi, just had a new baby boy on Nov 16th! Reilly Sullivan, 7lbs, 8oz. Head full of our family's signature dark brown hair. Absolutely gorgeous, if you ask me. Then again, my family doesn't make ugly babies. Some family's do, though. Ever run into an old friend from middle school/high school, and they're toting around their new bundle of ugliness, and you're forced to say, "Oh! LOOK HOW GORGEOUS!" all the while trying to figure out if it's a human infant, or the fetus from that Alien movie? I recently had my first evaluation at my job w/ the insurance co. I'll make my first- official- year there on Dec 14; I started as a temp in Sept of last year, but of course that time doesn't count. Anyway, my supervisor scored me as "Highly Exceeds Expectations." She said she has never once handed out such a wonderful eval to anyone, in all her 14 years w/ the company! Lalala!! Won't know what my raise is until January, though, as for some reason it's a "surprise" on your first check of the year. But, am not worried. Am wonderful, dedicated employee... Surely raise will be okay amt and will not have to bitch... Ugh... Cannot finish watching LSU/Arkansas game tonight. Hurst heart to see LSU struggle so much. I dreamed the other night that I was single. I was alone in my cute- though little- apartment, and was shaving legs/brushing teeth/finding cute jean skirt/knee length black leather boots... Was getting ready for a date! Imagine! I'm a married woman, why am I dreaming about being single and going on a date??? Then, again, I dreamed last night that I met someone at the movie theatre, also. Don't hate my hubby, so wonder where these dreams are coming from? Maybe is normal for someone who's been married a couple years to sub-conciously remember freedom of single days? | | |
| Har har- is v. funny to watch me run. Love the lovely comment! Ha-ha! I hate waiting for evaluations to start at work... Is always a long, drawn out process, and always seem to save my dept for last. Humph; Oh well. Saving best for last, I suppose. I love my job at the insurance co. Auto claims: fun stuff. I did have a job offer from my insurance agent- crazy, pot-smoking type guy, but I've had insurance thru him for like 6 years, so he's okay, I suppose. He's hilarious. Called me out the blue to offer me a job at his agency. Turned it down 'cause 1) I have no underwriting experience, only claims, and 2) I don't think he can pay me what I am making now. So, sorry, Carmen! No-go this time! Well, things on the home front are pretty good right now. Damn dogs, though. They keep me up all night, and wake me up early to go pee... But I love them, so what can I do? My oldest step-son, Jonathan, is now wrestling for a local high school. That's hilarious. Can't take out the trash 'cause he too lazy, but can go roll 'round on a mat in lycra tights for hours. (wonderful visual, I'm sure - sorry.) Well, let me go. Will write more later. I'm pitching for a new laptop this Christmas, so maybe I can write more when I have a cpu that actually works... | | |
